ESOL Mojica
Instructor: Ms. Mojica

ESOL is a class for students who are limited English proficient (LEP) or English Language Learners (ELL). Students are divided by levels 1 thru 4 and then Monitor and Exit. All students can receive additional support after schoolESOL stands for English for Students of Other Languages; however, sometimes it is referred to as ESL (English as a Second Language). Students classified as ESOL Levels 1-3 will receive instruction in Math, Social Studies, Science, and/or Language Arts; level 4, Monitor, and Exit students are in regular, mainstream classes all day. The goal of our program is to teach English language and study skills so students may be successful in the mainstream while maintaining their native culture, traditions, and language.

Spanish Log.
There is a new log for you to use below. It is explained in English and includes information and three examples to make it easier. Remember, this log is for you to inform me of what you are doing to learn, study, or get more exposure to using Spanish. Have fun with this; don't make it burdensome! Include any sports' activities/games you are involved in so it shows why you were not able to do something for Spanish. Activities can include project work (at home), Spanish tutoring you use (computer programs like Rosetta Stone) or receive, conversations in Spanish, studying, online websites or research for Spanish projects, TV, movies, music, or radio in Spanish.

If you need a copy, just ask for one in class!

Due to SOL Testing in the Spring 2010, the last Spanish Log (#14) will be due on Friday, April 30.
